MoveWitness turns a rental move-in or move-out walkthrough into timestamped, room-by-room photo evidence and a single PDF you can send if the deposit is ever disputed. This page is where to get help with it.

A real person reads every message and replies. There is no ticket system and no bot.
For a bug, it saves a round trip if you include: your device and iOS version, what you were doing, what you expected versus what actually happened, and a screenshot.
What the app does
You add a property, start a move-in or move-out inspection, and walk it room by room. In each room you photograph the condition and type notes. When you finish, MoveWitness generates a PDF report — every photo with the date it was taken, every note, room by room — and hands it to your device's own share sheet so you can email it to a landlord, a tenant, or yourself.
Completing an inspection locks it. After that the app refuses to add rooms or photos to it, so the record cannot be quietly changed after the fact. That is the point of the product: a report is worth something in a dispute only if it could not have been edited afterwards.
Common questions
Where are my photos and inspections stored?
On your device, and nowhere else. MoveWitness has no account, no server, and no sync. Nothing is uploaded anywhere unless you personally share an exported report using your device's share sheet. Full detail in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
Delete an individual photo, room, inspection, or property inside the app to remove it from your device. To remove everything at once, delete the app — that deletes its local database and every photo it stored, because there is no copy anywhere else. There is no account to close and no company-held record to request the deletion of, because none exists.
Export first if you want to keep anything. Once the app is gone, so is the data.
Why can't I add a photo to an inspection I finished?
Because it is complete, and that is deliberate. A completed inspection is a sealed record. Start a new inspection on the same property if you need to document something later.
Why does the app ask for camera and photo access?
Camera access is requested only when you tap "Take photo" in a room. Photo library access is requested only when you tap "Choose photo" to attach a picture you already have. Neither is used for anything else, and the app cannot browse your library outside that action. If you declined a prompt and want to change it, iOS Settings › MoveWitness has the toggles.
The report PDF is large, or won't send by email.
Photos are already resized for the report, but a long inspection with many rooms still adds up, and some mail providers cap attachments at 20–25 MB. Sharing to Files, iCloud Drive, or a messaging app instead usually gets past it. If a specific report will not generate at all, email us with the number of rooms and photos in it.
Is this legal advice?
No. MoveWitness is a documentation tool. It records what you observed and photographed; it does not advise you, represent you, or decide anything, and neither do we. Every report it generates says so in its own footer. For a deposit dispute in your jurisdiction, talk to someone qualified to advise you there.
How much does it cost?
See the main page for current pricing and availability. If something you paid for is not working, email the address above and say what happened.
