Privacy Policy

MoveWitness is a rental move-in/move-out inspection app published by Baker Ventures LLC. This policy describes, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your data.
The short version
MoveWitness does not have accounts, does not have a server, and does not transmit anything. Every property, inspection, room, note, and photo you create stays in local storage on your own device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere unless and until you personally choose to share an exported PDF report using your device's own share sheet (for example, by emailing it to a landlord or tenant) — and at that point, sharing it is your action, using your device's normal share mechanism, not something MoveWitness does on its own.
What the app accesses, and why
- Camera — only when you tap "Take photo" on a room, to photograph its condition. The photo is saved to the app's local storage on your device.
- Photo library — only when you tap "Choose photo" on a room, to attach an existing photo. MoveWitness reads that photo's file and, when present, its capture-date metadata (EXIF), and copies it into the app's local storage.
Neither permission is used for anything besides attaching a photo to a room you are actively inspecting. MoveWitness cannot and does not browse your photo library or camera roll outside of that action.
What MoveWitness does not do
- No account or sign-in of any kind.
- No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
- No location data.
- No data is sent to Baker Ventures LLC, to any third party, or to any server — there is no server in this product today.
Data you export or delete
A PDF report you generate and share is created and controlled entirely by you, using your device's own share sheet — MoveWitness has no visibility into, or control over, where you send it afterward. Deleting the app, or deleting a property/inspection/photo inside it, removes that data from your device; because nothing is copied off-device, there is nothing further to delete anywhere else.
Children's privacy
MoveWitness is a general-purpose utility for landlords and tenants and is not directed at children. It collects no data of any kind, from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If MoveWitness ever adds a feature that changes any of the above — for example, an optional account for syncing across devices — this page will be updated first, and the change will be described plainly, in the same terms as above.
